Senior Medical Physicist Photon, Lynn Cancer Institute
Under the Direction of the Medical Physics Director, responsible for the design optimization, technical evaluation and precise and accurate delivery of radiation plans, responsible for the safety of patients and staff. May participate in clinical, research and educational duties, supports and adheres to safety and compliance program to include OSHA, HIPAA and the Code of Ethics. Provide continuing physics support to the department of radiation oncology.
Assist and provide coverage in areas of instrumentation, equipment calibration, treatment planning, dosimetry, radiation protection, quality assurance, equipment selection and acceptance. Salaried position plus potential annual bonus.
- Masters
- Therapeutic Radiological Physicist License
- PhD in physics from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Experience, preferably in a large radiation physics program, with multiple machine modalities and services.
- Must maintain certification and continuing education requirements outlined by the American College of Radiology, current certification in field by American Board of Radiology or Board of Medical Physics.
- Must obtain and maintain certification and valid license for medical physics as required.
