Overview
Pharmacy Infusion Technician at Center for Hematology & Oncology (FT, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM). Responsible for preparing and distributing IV admixtures under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and managing medication stock.
Responsibilities• Prepare non-hazardous and hazardous IV admixtures.
• Refilling automated dispensing cabinets (ADC) and filling and labeling medications.
• Answer the telephone and route calls as appropriate.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas and maintain medication stock levels.
• Maintain proper storage of medications and overall pharmacy organization and cleanliness.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
- High School diploma or GED
- Sterile Compounding Certification
- PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Registered Pharmacy Technician
- 5 years technician experience (hospital compounding or outpatient infusion)
- Complex hazardous compounding experience required
- Complex hazardous compounding includes at least 20 hours per week compounding hazardous medications, compounding novel chemotherapy therapies, TPN, pump filling and programming, use of a closed system transfer device (CSTD)
- Automation Certification preferred
