Surgical Coordinator – ENT & Allergy Associates of Florida

We are currently seeking a full‑time Surgical Coordinator for our Boca office. The position is Monday‑Friday, 8:00‑5:00.
Surgical Coordinator DescriptionThis is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is comfortable with scheduling surgical procedures, has strong medical terminology knowledge, and is a multitask‑oriented, motivated, organized self‑starter willing to learn all aspects of ENT surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Answer patient calls and surgery inquiries
- Patient counseling under the direction of the office manager and surgeon
- Verify surgical benefits and obtain authorizations
- Schedule surgical procedures at credentialed centers and hospitals
- Communicate and update patients on surgery status
- Reconcile deposits and copays for surgery
- Ensure medical clearance, pre‑op and post‑op instructions are relayed to patients timely
- Obtain proper consents for appropriate surgical procedures
- Provide updates to surgeon in a timely manner
- Minimum one year of cosmetic or medical surgical procedure scheduling experience
- Clinical experience is a plus
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Professional interaction with patients, physicians, and team members at all times
- EMR experience
- Strong computer literacy
- Bilingual language skills are a plus
- Cosmetic surgery scheduling experience is a plus
- Medical, Dental and Vision – effective 1st of month after 60 days of full‑time employment
- Company‑paid STD, LTD, Life – effective 1st of month after 1 year full‑time employment
- 401(K) – effective 1st of month after 1 year of employment
- Six paid holidays – effective immediately
- PTO – earned per pay period
Requires coordination, manual and physical dexterity to use various medical equipment and office equipment. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and traveling between ENTAAF offices for support. Lifting up to 15 pounds is required. Salary will be based on experience and skills. Salary: $25.00 per hour.
