Steward Supervisor

Steward Supervisor at Woodfield Country Club, Boca Raton. Oversee activities of all stewards, utility and contract service workers, monitoring cleaning and sanitation practices in kitchens and controlling storage and inventory of china, glass, silver, and participation in food and beverage displays.

• Manage the workload and ensure the team works efficiently.
• Manage staff hours ensuring no overtime without approval.
• Coordinate work of non-cooking kitchen and storeroom workers (dishwashing, silver cleaning, storage).
• Inventory control of all china, glass, silver and equipment.
• Inspect kitchens and storerooms for cleanliness and functionality.
• Help guard against theft, breakage, and wastage.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Wash dishes and pots.
• Set up buffets.
• Ensure work areas are safe and secure, report unsafe conditions to Chief Steward, Executive Chef, or Executive Sous Chef.
• Maintain highest sanitary conditions.
• Store dishes and pots in appropriate areas.
• Report dishwasher problems to manager on duty.
• Be aware of proper dishwashing temperatures.
• Understand and follow all department and club policies.

• Experience working in a high-volume kitchen.
• Ability to maintain product inventory and uphold quality standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
