Front of House Trainer at Simplevenue

The Front of House Trainer plays a critical role in preparing front‑of‑house teams for new restaurant openings, ensuring every guest interaction reflects the brand’s service standards. This position leads onboarding, implements training programs, and supports team development from pre‑opening through launch. Frequent travel to restaurant locations across the U.S. (outside of Florida) is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive FOH training programs covering service standards, menu knowledge, guest experience, safety, and sanitation.
  • Lead onboarding for front‑of‑house staff, including training schedules, shadowing, and performance coaching.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Culinary teams to ensure FOH staff fully understand menu execution, timing, and workflow.
  • Support staffing plans and interview coordination to ensure each opening is fully staffed and prepared.
  • Assess team readiness and provide feedback to achieve operational excellence prior to soft and grand openings.
  • Ensure FOH teams are proficient in POS systems, reservation platforms, and operational protocols.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between FOH staff and management during pre‑opening, soft opening, and grand opening phases.
  • Travel to new locations to oversee training and ensure successful front‑of‑house launches.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality, with a focus on front‑of‑house operations and team training.
  • Proven ability to design and execute training programs for large or fast‑growing teams.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and perform effectively in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
  • Willingness and availability to travel extensively (up to 75% domestic; occasional international).
  • Experience in sushi, omakase, or high‑concept dining strongly preferred.
