AboutPEC, an international technology supplier, committed to enable the production of green batteries for a Blue Planet, is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to join our IT team at our Belgian Office in Leuven. By becoming a part of our mission, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the first large-scale battery factories in Europe and the United States, thereby contributing to a greener future.
Yourresponsibilities
- Contribute to the execution of the ICT and Security strategy aligned with PEC’s mid‑ and long‑term business objectives.
- Drive improvements and innovation in business processes through the effective use of technology.
- Provide hands‑on technical support and expertise for ICT systems and infrastructure across all global PEC locations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure stable, secure, and efficient IT operations.
- Deliver global user support for applications, infrastructure, security systems, CCTV, and telecommunications.
- Assist in planning and executing ICT/Security projects, including budgeting and managing change requests.
- Support the development, review, and implementation of ICT policies and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal procedures.
- Identify and assess vulnerabilities and risks in applications and infrastructure, and recommend mitigation measures.
- Based in Belgium, with occasional travel to international offices.
- Reports to the ICT & Security Manager (or CEO, depending on structure).
- 5‑10 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally in a high‑tech industry.
- Security certifications.
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and analyses.
- Analytical and meticulous mindset.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
