SAP Business Process Expert

PEC, an international technology supplier, committed to enable the production of green batteries for a Blue Planet. We are looking for a SAP Business Process Expert to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is based at our Plant in Butterworth, Malaysia. By joining us, you will contribute to building the first large‑scale battery factories in Europe, Asia and the United States.

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO, MM, and PP Consultant to implement, optimize, and support SAP solutions across finance, procurement, and production. As a cross‑functional SAP expert, you will analyse business needs, design best‑practice “plain vanilla” SAP configurations, and ensure full integration between the modules to streamline end‑to‑end business processes.

This role is ideal for an IT professional with strong business acumen who can recommend standard SAP solutions while minimizing or avoiding custom developments.

• Consulting & Analysis:
  Gather, translate, and analyse business requirements across Finance (FICO), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP). Recommend best‑practice SAP configurations aligned with standard processes.
• SAP Implementation & Configuration:
  Implement, configure, and customize SAP FICO, MM, and PP modules. Align system setup with business needs while avoiding unnecessary enhancements.
• Integration Management:
  Ensure seamless integration between modules—for example, linking PP production orders with MM material consumption and FICO cost postings. Validate cross‑functional process flows and resolve integration issues.
• Testing & Training:
  Prepare and execute functional testing (unit, integration, UAT). Deliver training and support materials for end users.
• Troubleshooting & Support:
  Provide ongoing functional support and resolve incidents efficiently. Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate, test, and debug ABAP developments.
• Documentation:
  Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, business processes, and customizations.

• Deep expertise in SAP FICO, MM, and PP, with strong hands‑on configuration experience and the ability to recommend best‑practice, standard (“plain vanilla”) SAP solutions.
• Experience working with SAP ECC, with a solid understanding of its structures, processes and integration points.
• Solid integration knowledge, especially how MM and PP processes flow into FICO and how cross‑functional processes connect across the system.
• Proven project experience, including at least one full end‑to‑end SAP implementation.
• Strong business process understanding in finance, procurement, inventory management, and production planning.
• Technical awareness, including the ability to read or debug ABAP, write clear technical specifications, and collaborate effectively with developers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions and guide stakeholders toward standard configurations.
• A proactive and problem‑solving mindset, able to troubleshoot efficiently and propose improvements.
• Industry knowledge of best‑practice financial, supply chain, and manufacturing processes and how they can be supported in SAP.
