Mod Med s global headquarters is based in Boca Raton, FL, with a growing office in Hyderabad, India, and a robust remote workforce across the US, Chile, and Germany.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Modernizing Medicine, you’ll play a key role in keeping our cloud infrastructure secure, scalable, and cost-efficient
. You’ll focus on automation, performance, and reliability
, helping us streamline operations and build smarter cloud-native solutions that enable developer self-service. This role is based at our Boca Raton, FL Headquarters and requires a Hybrid Onsite presence.

• Manage AWS infrastructure to ensure security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Improve monitoring & observability using Data Dog for proactive issue detection.
• Empower developers by standardizing and commoditizing infrastructure, making it available via self-service methods like Git Ops, APIs, UIs, etc.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Github and AWS services for smooth deployments.
• Lead containerization efforts with Kubernetes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Optimize cloud performance by tuning resources for better speed and cost savings.
• Troubleshoot complex issues quickly across AWS environments.
• Implement security best practices to meet compliance and data protection standards.
• Stay up-to-date on cloud technologies and recommend improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of learning and collaboration.
• Work cross-functionally to build AWS-based solutions that meet business needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of experience in Cloud/Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong AWS expertise
  , including security, performance tuning, and cost management.
• Hands-on experience with Data Dog, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
• Proficiency in automation & scripting (Python, Bash).
• Solid grasp of networking, cloud security, and CI/CD best practices.
• Proven leadership & mentoring skills to guide teams through complex challenges.
• Excellent communication skills
  —able to explain technical concepts clearly.

This role offers
flexibility with a hybrid/remote setup, but occasional office visits may be required.
Participation in on-call rotations is also expected to handle urgent issues.
