GIS Engineer

$50.00/hr - $55.00/hr

• GIS Engineer will architect and develop scalable GIS web applications using ArcGIS JavaScript API (4.x)
• Build high-performance mapping apps with custom widgets, spatial analysis tools, 3D scenes, and dynamic visualization
• Develop Node.js/Python APIs and publish services (Feature, Map, Geoprocessing) on ArcGIS Server
• Integrate with ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, and ArcGIS Online using secure authentication methods
• Design and maintain enterprise geodatabases; optimize datasets for performance
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues; apply best practices for scalability
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and documentation for GIS standards and governance

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years in GIS application development
• Experience with geodatabases, spatial indexing, and ETL tools (Arc Py, GDAL)
• Expert in ArcGIS JavaScript API (4.x), ArcGIS REST APIs, and ArcGIS Enterprise/Online
• Strong JavaScript/Type Script, Node.js, and Python (Arc Py, ArcGIS Python API) skills

• Esri certifications; experience with Experience Builder, Web App Builder, or Dashboards
• Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, and performance tuning experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
