Sr Vice President Finance

Overview

Mas Tec is seeking a Senior Vice President of Finance to serve as a key business leader within the Mastec Energy Solutions (MES) region, a $1B+ business with around 5,000 employees. The role reports directly to the Power Delivery CFO and has a dotted line to the EVP of MES Operations. The SVP will support the MES Region Leadership Team, provide strategic financial analysis, guide planning and decision‑making, and drive execution of short‑ and long‑term goals.

The SVP will also partner with regional leaders to develop a high‑engaged finance team, improve operations, and develop transparency and insight across fleet, operations, safety, IT, ERP, project management, and project controls. The role is located in Delray, Florida.

• Strategic partner to the EVP-MES Region Operations and broader leadership team, providing timely and accurate data, financial analysis and insight.
• Partner with the CFO to build a shared service model, establish controls, drive integration, optimization and business improvement initiatives.
• Lead the preparation and explanation of financial results, projections, variances and trend analysis; perform and communicate risk, opportunities and options.
• Drive development and execution of the segment strategic plan and short‑, mid‑ and long‑term goals aligned with Power Delivery’s strategic plan.
• Build strong relationships and foster a culture of transparency, teamwork and accountability across Finance and operations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes and continue development of modeling and planning tools.

• BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Management; MBA, MS and/or CPA preferred.
• 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years supporting a field‑based business; energy/construction industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements and systems; experience with external auditors, internal controls and compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle, Vista, JD Edwards or similar ERP systems and background coordinating with IT to manage, upgrade, optimize and/or implement systems.
• Proven record of building capable, committed and highly effective teams.
• Experience leading teams through periods of extreme change and ambiguity.
