• Manage compounders and pre‑weighers to maximize productivity and build a cohesive team.
• Work with compounders on labor utilization and throughput of tanks for optimal tank utilization.
• Hire and train new talent to become compounders and pre‑weighers.
• Manage tanks and bulk schedule for maximum efficiency and quality.
• Adjust schedule (“flex” option) to accommodate growth or changes and maximize batching and tank utilization.
• Coordinate with Bulk Scheduler to meet all due dates and customer service commitments.
• Partner with R&D to apply and sustain best practices in the compounding area.
• Analyze processes to train and implement process improvements.
• Assist with capital or repair equipment items.
• Create and manage departmental budgets.
• Maintain a strong safety culture with daily oversight.
• Provide performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline when warranted.
• Ensure supplies (e.g., bags, storage containers, degreaser, pipets) are maintained.
• Process payroll and HR tasks such as time‑card checks, PTO approvals, and coordination with PTO teams.
• Support other departments (QC, warehouse, chemical receiving, R&D, Bulk, Production).
• Stimulate a positive work environment.
• Lead and coach team members in conflict resolution and finding solutions.

• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions.
• Knowledge of weights and measures and the ability to compare them.
• Knowledge of finished blends and raw blends preferred.
• Some mechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and roll a 300 lb. drum.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supervising and managing people.
• Team player.
• Detail oriented and able to multi‑task.
• 8+ years of experience in relevant field.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Requires standing, lifting, and pulling.
• Perform other duties as required.

• 2 years of college completed or equivalent life experience.
