This opportunity requires a regular on-going commitment from the volunteer. Responsibilities are as follows:
- Volunteers arrive at a location near Century Village (parking lot of 19785 Hampton Drive, Boca Raton) between 8:30am and 9:00am to meet the food pantry truck.
- Volunteers are provided with a list of JFS clients and their addresses, mostly in Century Village, along with a bin full of pre-bagged food packages to deliver to the client’s door.
- Volunteers must be able to carry one bag of non-perishable items, one bag of produce, and one container of milk and paper towels.
- Volunteers drive their own car and delivering usually takes about 1-2 hours to complete.
Volunteers should be between the ages of 18 and 18.
