DescriptionThe Pool Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse – Pool DPC RN is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency and mastery of core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. The RN provides patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing and promoting evidence‑based practice standards of quality, safety and service.
Estimated pay: $45.00 per hour (varies by shift).
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s) are not required to have a BSN to remain in a non‑leadership RN role.
- RNs hired after those dates with an Associate’s degree must complete a BSN within five years of hire.
- RN must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
- Required to work minimum shift, including weekend and holiday requirements as outlined in nursing staffing policy.
- Additional certifications may be required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP or ONS‑Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card.
- Minimum of 18 months experience.
- 3 years of circulating and/or scrubbing experience in an acute operating room setting. BLS and ACLS required. Candidates must respond to call and report within 30 minutes of call time.
