Description

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency and mastery of core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. The DPC RN delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing and promoting evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety and service.

Estimated pay range for this position is $42.01 - $54.19 per hour depending on experience.

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking and professional accountability in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver patient-family centered care and promote evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety and service.

• Degrees: Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Licenses & Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN);
  Basic Life Support (BLS);
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

• Additional qualifications include:
• RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fisherman’s) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership role as an RN.
• RNs hired after those dates with an Associate’s degree will have 5 years from their date of hire to complete a BSN degree.
• RN must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
• As per department standard, ACLS and/or BLS may be required.

Minimum Required Experience: 3 years circulating and/or scrubbing experience in an acute Operating Room setting. BLS and ACLS required. Candidates will be required to take call and report within 30 minutes of call time.
