Description:
  • In collaboration with supervising physicians, the APRN directly manages
  • the care of complex acutely ill patients via face-to-face, telehealth, or
  • other communication devices. The APRN is an expert in patient care
  • who provides quality care, performs patient assessments, H & Ps, and
  • takes a thorough medical history. The APRN can order and interpret
  • laboratory and diagnostic tests. The APRN develops medical diagnoses,
  • appropriate treatment plan, prescribes medical regimen, and educates
  • patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care. May perform
  • approved procedures and order medications as indicated in the
  • Delineation of Privileges. The APRN works directly with physicians, staff,
  • administration, patients and families to ensure quality of care across the
  • health system. The APRN is a clinical team leader that intervenes and
  • manages deteriorating patients. The APRN integrates evidence-based
  • practice and technological advances into their scope of practice. The
  • APRN may participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality
  • improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within
  • the area of practice. The APRN participates in and facilitates patient
  • throughput, optimal patient outcomes,optimal length of stay and
  • improved patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • 3 years of relevant RN experience required. Compliant with state of Florida requirements for CEUs and licensure.
  • DEA License required as per specialy/function. Advanced Cardiac Life Support requires as per specialy/function. Nurse Practitioner National Certification required. Obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as needed for practice location.
  • Minimum Experience requirements: 3 years plus BLS certification.
