Vaco is hiring for a Quality Assurance Manager (
Location:
Boca Raton, FL). Compensation: $90,000-$120,000/annually.
Sustain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO standards 9001 and 14001. Assuring continuous accreditation requirements are met through new and existing policies and procedures. Foster and enhance a culture of continuous improvement throughout the company. Lead the team to achieve quality management system targets.
Overview- Manage all registration requirements to ensure they are met. Liaise with external bodies on all matters relating to registration.
- Maintain and improve, in line with business needs using existing and new processes and procedures within our QMS
- Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
- Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns
- Ensure all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
- Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate
- Train others in appropriate aspects of the quality system and application of procedures
- Undertake regular internal and process audits of the QMS
- Ensure corrective actions are undertaken to address nonconformities found
- Verify close of non-conformities with Certification Bodies
- Hold QMS reviews with CEO and CFO at least twice per year
- Ensure ongoing compliance with QMS by producing written reports/presentations while undertaking continuous training and development
- Try to identify business improvement opportunities within the company
- Help set departmental quality objectives and review and assess ongoing performance
- Report on achievements of targets and identify any actions required
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the various departments
- Work as part of the Executive Management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities
- Communicate with personnel at all levels in relation to quality matters
- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements and experience with surveillance audits/recertification in an Electronics design and manufacturing organization
- Demonstrated knowledge of IPC-A-610, Class 3 requirements and experience determining acceptable, process indicator, and defect conditions.
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory/management experience.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen/5 Why/8D/Fishbone preferred
- Knowledge of specific software (Excel – pivot tables/charts, XA/ERP)
- Communication abilities – presenting, reporting and public speaking
- Organized and skilled at time management
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
