Farmers Table is looking to hire an experienced pastry assistant to assist in all aspects of the daily restaurant production. We are a scratch bakery using organic ingredients. All dessert products are made in house.

Responsibilities to include:

Create and prepare all pastry items needed for service, including cakes, fillings, scones, sauces, ice creams and banquet production

Plating of desserts

Carefully follows exact recipes

Responsible for weekly bakery inventory and rotating food supplies on hand

Maintains clean and sanitary bakery

Covers all plating shifts as needed for call outs and vacations

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years in pastry kitchen

Culinary degree in Pastry

Knowledge of high volume or banquet service

Be able to work in a pressurized environment and remain calm

Requirements:

Be able to work 10 hour shifts

Able to lift 50LB

Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Punctual and disciplined to maintain optimal work environment

Able to follow instructions and recipes accurately

Confident in pastry techniques and skills
