At Joseph’s Classic Market, the Prepared Foods Department is the centerpiece of the store, offering Chef‑Prepared, restaurant‑quality meals. As a Prepared Foods Associate, you’ll help guests select items they’ll love while delivering high‑quality customer service.

• Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized suggestions
• Maintain product freshness through regular rotation and quality checks
• Restock and rotate displays to ensure visual appeal and freshness
• Prepare salads and pack out soups, pastas, sauces, and other prepared foods
• Plate, package, and present items to meet Joseph’s quality and appearance standards
• Accurately package, label, and price self‑service items
• Follow food safety and sanitation protocols at all times
• Operate basic counter equipment, including scales, knives, and other counter equipment
• Assist with other tasks as assigned

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Prior kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math and reading skills
• Strong attention to detail and visual presentation
• Team player with a positive, service‑oriented attitude
• A passion for serving people

Prep work involves walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting products weighing up to 50 pounds. Work also includes frequent interaction with customers and fellow employees.
