Assistant Store Manager

Pay Range: $18.00 - $18.50
Day shift only:
Office closes at 6pm
Will work between multiple stores in the district
This location is closed on Sundays.

Plays a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of one or more self-storage locations under the guidance of the District Manager and Store Manager. Ensures the facility meets high cleanliness standards and consistently delivers operational excellence. Builds customer relationships through in-person and phone interactions, presents a structured sales process, and manages customer accounts.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.
• Ensure highest standards of cleanliness through continuous maintenance of the site, office, and storage building.
• Perform daily site safety inspections, including lock checks.
• Address and resolve customer concerns related to billing, security, auctions, and proper site usage.
• Handle cash transactions, balance receipts, follow up on delinquent payments, process customer payments, and complete daily bank deposits.
• Protect company culture by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with all Extra Space employees.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• 1+ year of customer-facing work experience.
• Sales experience preferred>
  
  Current valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle; except in New York City and Brooklyn.
• High School diploma or GED required; college education a plus.

• Indoor and outdoor responsibilities ranging from sedentary desk work to physical duties with varying physical demands and exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
• Tasks include standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, sitting, and lifting.
• Regularly required to lift or move items up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
