Mod Med is hiring a driven Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Development team focused on designing and developing cutting-edge healthcare software systems in a fast-paced Healthcare IT environment.

• Deliver high-quality code on time by following coding best practices.
• Learn and gain expertise in the business domain and technology stack with minimal guidance.
• Maintain a production-first mindset focused on scale, uptime, and rapid triage/resolution of production issues.
• Simplify complex requirements into manageable deliverables by developing technical specifications and user stories.
• Contribute to test automation and participate in peer reviews to increase product quality.
• Ensure deliverables meet functional and non-functional criteria and drive changes when outcomes are misaligned.
• Provide timely, helpful feedback to peers and managers and solicit feedback to improve continuously.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.
• 5+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.
• Strong Java/J2EE object-oriented design and development skills.
• Solid understanding of microservices and REST API standards.
• Strong SQL development skills (MySQL experience preferred).
• Experience with Kafka is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; commitment to quality, architecture, and documentation.
• Demonstrated use and knowledge of design patterns; experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• SaaS development experience is preferred.
• This position is based in Boca Raton, Florida and requires a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office).
