Mod Med's global headquarters is based in Boca Raton, FL, with a growing office in Hyderabad, India, and a robust remote workforce across the US, Chile, and Germany.

Mod Med is hiring a driven Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Development team focused on designing and developing cutting-edge healthcare software systems.

• Deliver high-quality code on time by following coding best practices.
• Willingness to learn and gain expertise in the business domain and technology stack and work with minimal guidance.
• Maintain a production-first mindset focused on scale, uptime, and the ability to rapidly triage/resolve production issues.
• Simplify and break down complex requirements into manageable deliverables and milestones by developing technical specifications and user stories.
• Contribute to test automation and participate in peer reviews to increase product quality.
• Ensure deliverables meet functional and non-functional criteria, and drive changes proactively where outcomes are misaligned.
• Provide timely, helpful feedback to peers and managers.
• Solicit feedback from others and seek ways to improve.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.
• 5+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.
• Strong Java/J2EE object-oriented design and development skills.
• Proficiency with at least one JavaScript framework (Angular
  
  JS and/or Angular preferred).
• Solid understanding of microservices and REST API standards.
• Strong SQL development skills (MySQL experience preferred).
• Experience with Kafka is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to quality, architecture, and documentation.
• Experience with design patterns and Agile methodologies is a plus.
• SaaS development experience is preferred.
• This position is based in Boca Raton, FL and requires a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office).
