Safety Alerts Administrator – Grade 3 Integrated Governance Job
Location:
Carew House, Town Bodmin.
Hours:
Part time – 15 hours per week (minimum 3 days). Salary: £25,760 – £27,476 per annum pro rata. Closing date: 20/07/2026 23:59.
Currently only open to existing NHS employees in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly.

This role supports the systematic and timely management of safety alerts across the Trust. The post holder will manage and prioritise their workload, work independently, and communicate alerts to clinical and corporate teams.
The position requires confidence using IT systems, working with data, and adapting to frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.
Main Duties- Monitor the Central Alerting System (CAS) inbox and NHS Futures to identify new safety alerts and log them on the Trust’s incident/risk system.
- Provide accurate information about alerts and their progress to colleagues across the Trust.
- Support the fortnightly Safety Alerts Meeting – prepare trackers, take notes, update actions.
- Assist the Risk Manager (CAS Liaison Officer) with updates to the CAS database and maintain records in line with Trust processes.
- Produce routine reports for governance meetings and alert overdue escalations.
- Support maintaining accurate records and meeting reasonable information requests.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in business administration or related experience.
- Experience using electronic systems/databases.
- Experience with administration in a busy office environment.
- Knowledge of bespoke IT systems and electronic diary management.
- Ability to work on own initiative and problem‑solve.
- Familiarity with safety alert management systems (e.g., Ulysses, Datix or similar).
- Understanding of patient safety and governance systems.
