Planning Project Manager / Graduate
Location:
Bodmin, Cornwall
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
You will support the planning team in delivering feasibility studies, planning applications, and site identification work across a range of renewable energy projects throughout the UK. The role offers a strong development pathway into project management and planning within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities- Support preparation and submission of planning applications.
- Assist with planning research, policy review, and site feasibility assessments.
- Produce plans, drawings, and visual materials to support planning submissions.
- Review and assess potential sites for wind, solar PV, and battery storage development.
- Conduct site identification work across the UK for renewable energy opportunities.
- Assist with GIS mapping and spatial analysis to support project development.
- Work closely with technical and engineering teams to support project delivery.
- Degree in Planning, Renewable Energy, Environmental Studies, Geography, or a related discipline.
- Experience using ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Methodical, accurate, and process-driven approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Interest or experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly wind energy.
- Knowledge of planning policy and development processes in the UK.
- Membership or working towards membership of Royal Town Planning Institute or Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
- Full UK driving licence.
