As part of your role you'll be trained to deliver training in our new management of violence and aggression package (delivered by the General Services Association (GSA), and will be protected to deliver this training for the Trust on a regular basis. The rest of your time will be spent on your ward, supporting staff to embed new ways of working and restraint reduction techniques.
Mainduties of the job
The post holder will be under the direction and guidance of the MAV Lead, and will be required to deliver educational programmes regarding the safe and effective management of patients. This will include MAPA.
The post holder will act as a role model to colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, using their initiative and take responsibility for themselves and the quality of their work and the service they provide to patients.

Person Specification Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience- NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience
- Experience working with patients who have complex mental health needs
- Previous knowledge and experience of working in a care environment
- Knowledge of recovery and rehabilitation principles
- Practical problem solving skills
- Basic IT skills
- Practical skills associated with monitoring patients physical health
- Practical skills associated using a socially inclusive whole life approach
