Hours: 2x 36 hours, 1 x 24 hours (1 day 1 night) & Bank Hours

Pay
: £15.00 per hour (days)

We are currently recruiting Support Workers to support an individual within the Bodmin area.

Role Description

We are committed to Equal opportunities. We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Support Workers to work with an individual who has learning disability / autism / mental health support needs. The individual will be provided support throughout the day and night.

  • Provide support during the good times and the difficult periods our individual faces in their daily life.
  • Have a good understanding of Autism / Mental Health and how this can impact daily living or have worked in a mental health setting.
  • Understand Autism or have had experience working with Autistic people, and that you understand that being autistic is an important part of who they are.
  • Be a positive advocate for them.
  • Be consistent – do what you say you will if you can’t explain why.
  • Be prepared to motivate them in a supportive manner.
  • Be patient and encouraging on the difficult days.
  • Have a fun and kind personality who will go on adventures.
  • Work with them to solve issues and overcome day to day tasks.
  • Come to work to “Get to know me” as that is what is needed to support them.
  • Work as part of the team who deliver amazing person-centred care.
  • Think outside the box.
  • Be able to have a laugh and joke but have set standards and boundaries.

Schedule:
  • 12 hour shifts – 08:00 to 20:00
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
  • Overtime
Licence/Certification:
  • Mental Health (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
Refer a Friend Bonus
  • £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their first shift.
  • £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their probation period.
