Digital Nurse / AHP Lead

The Digital Lead Nurse / AHP will work with the Care Group Triumvirate to provide professional leadership to the Nursing / Midwifery / Allied Health Professions (NMAHP) service for digital initiatives and digital transformation.

The post holder will support the development and implementation of the Oracle Health EPR project within the clinical and service redesign programme of work. Driving provision of high quality evidence based NMAHP practice which will be delivered within an EPR in an acute and across provider organisations.

The post holder will be a strong clinical leader, easily identifiable, highly visible, and accessible to patients, carers, and staff. They will have a particular responsibility to support the developments of digital / technology and service improvement, to modernise patient services and ensure the active involvement of patients and carers in the way services are developed, delivered, and evaluated. They will establish and support a network of Care Group Digital Champions.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Registered Healthcare Professional either NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Degree or relevant experience.
  • Education qualification or equivalent teacher / trainer qualification or demonstrates equivalent significant experience in delivering training and coaching in clinical practice.
  • Further education in clinical informatics or equivalent experience and interest in this field.
  • MSc or further specialist training to equivalent level.
Experience
  • Evidence of experience within operational management in a hospital / healthcare setting in a Senior Nurse / Midwife / AHP role within the Minor injury or Urgent Care setting.
  • Ward / Department Lead experience.
  • Significant experience of working within an acute Minor injury / emergency urgent care environment or similar area.
  • Experience working with clinical IT systems in the NHS or equivalent organisation.
  • Experience of communication at all levels across all organisations.
  • Experience in change management and staff engagement practices.
  • Experience in the design, development and implementation of projects and programmes in data, information, knowledge and technology.
  • Strong non-clinical IT Skills including excel and power‑point.
  • Knowledge of national and local NHS healthcare digital agenda, standards, research, and its implications.
