We are looking for an HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist to join our Inpatient Dementia ward. Preceptorships are possible, as well as applications from those with post‑qualification experience in this specialty, or those looking for a change.

The role is interesting and varied, working with people with dementia of all ages, often with a complex range of physical health needs and sometimes with overlapping additional complex mental health needs.

You will be joining a growing Psychology team within the Dementia and Older Person’s Mental Health (DOPMH) Services. You will be encouraged to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues both within the inpatient and crisis service line, and across community services to support continuity of clinical care and for professional development and support. For example, you will have the opportunity to connect with colleagues from the other acute mental health wards and the range of DOPMH community mental health teams.

You will be supported to make close links with Psychology counterparts on Cove Ward (older person’s mental health ward) and with those working in the community into dementia care homes.

We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital‑based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.
