We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated physiotherapist to work across Cornwall as a Clinical Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist within our MSK Physiotherapy service.

Working as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist the successful applicant will display advanced clinical reasoning and excellent communication skills. The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner providing advanced assessment and management of patients, including those with highly complex presentations. They will have advanced specialist knowledge of male and female Pelvic Health related conditions.

The post holder will be required to provide a countywide supervisory role supporting the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team.

The role will involve supporting the MSK management team in maintaining the clinical governance within this specialist field.

The post holders base will be determined at interview.

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and non‑verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, carers and colleagues throughout the health and social care system.
• Supervise and teach staff within own profession and others and provide specialist advice on patient care to health and social care services when required.
• Deliver enhanced practice and evidence based assessment and management strategies for this patient group.
• Evaluate service provision and develop evidence based practice, progressing change within own service area as needed.

• Have an appropriate degree or equivalent knowledge and expertise.
• Relevant professional qualification and HCPC Registration.
• Masters level professional education in Pelvic Health supplemented by specialist training and development, or equivalent experience of enhanced practice in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.
• Relevant training or qualification in leadership or equivalent experience.

• Significant post qualification experience in Physiotherapy for Pelvic Health, in male and female patients.
• Working knowledge and experience of application of legislation and guidelines relevant to the role.
• Experience of working with patients with complex and challenging needs.
• Experience of service development and change processes.
• Experience of complex interaction with stakeholders to ensure effective working.

• Proven IT skills with application to practice.
• Established and proven communication skills.
• Strong commitment to teaching and learning.
• Able to prioritise workload and manage stress in self and others.
