Job summary
Cornwall Partnership is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic consultant psychiatrist to join the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service in the multi‑agency rapid response service (MARRS), the role will provide Clinical leadership to a service providing a crisis response for young people with acute mental health difficulties, across the community and the acute service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This includes working with other professionals such as paediatrics, police, the 136 Suite, the wider community children's services, and the inpatient unit.

Main duties of the jobThis post is part of the leadership team within the service and will provide appropriate support and supervision to other team members. The post holder will be part of a clinical team providing specialist psychiatric advice to the multidisciplinary team. There is the potential to support medical trainees and advanced clinical practitioners, who will be supervised by the consultant.
The post-holder, with other senior members of the CAMHS Team, will be responsible for ensuring there is effective communication with referring and receiving teams throughout the Trust, and Primary care. Where appropriate the post-holder will join therapy sessions in complex cases.
Whilst primarily responsible for delivering a quality clinical service the Consultant psychiatrist is also expected to be actively involved in the strategic development of the team and broader services, being involved with the service manager in helping to steer the development of the service in line with the strategic direction of the organisation.

Salary: 113,565 to 150,569 a year.
PA Pro Rata.
