Manufacturing Engineer
Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) designs, develops, and manufactures advanced composite components to help customers push forward innovation. AEC produces highly tailored, complex composite components, including 3D woven structures, traditional and non-traditional 2D composite structures, and discrete through-thickness reinforcement technologies, meeting performance and cost specifications often beyond metallic or conventional laminated composites.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Quality, the Training Coordinator identifies, develops, facilitates, monitors, and evaluates training and development activities for the AEC Boerne OPS team on a range of skill areas to preserve a competent, flexible, and engaged workforce.

- Put Safety first at all times; responsible for health and safety of self and coworkers.
- Identify training needs.
- Develop plan to meet training needs, coordinate delivery, measurement, and follow-up.
- Create process to evaluate training effectiveness.
- Plan and deliver training courses.
- Maintain training record database and monitor/report activities such as costs, performance, effectiveness.
- Maintain knowledge in relevant field at all times.
- Serve as internal consultant to facility leadership on training issues.
- Act as change agent, seeking new learning tools and methods to improve training techniques and program.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Completion of recognized program or demonstrated knowledge and experience in Human Resources, Workplace Training, Adult Education and Training.
- Minimum 5 years related training experience.
- Minimum 5 years related Aerospace and/or Manufacturing and Lean/Six Sigma experience.
- Experience or understanding of group dynamics principles and practices.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; build rapport and trust.
- Resolve and self-motivation with outstanding organizational skills.
- Inspirational and compelling; demonstrate leadership through empowerment of people.
- Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.
- Aerospace & Manufacturing process and equipment, ISO Systems, Lean Manufacturing.
- Preferred but not required:
Six Sigma, SAP, Aerospace Composites Engineering background.
Indoor production environment; duties performed indoors with adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures. Occasional moderate noise and machinery exposure. Ability to work 24/7 schedule, be available as business situations required, travel may be required.
Physical RequirementsOccasionally moves an item >10 lbs. Frequently moves about production floor and office area to attend meetings or trainings. Must remain stationary up to 75% of the time. Frequently operates computer, enters data, verifies information, etc.
