Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

Alamo Hospice is hiring a Volunteer Coordinator to support their Boerne and Kerrville office. Come join our compassionate growing team of professional clinicians who make a difference in the lives of patients and families facing end‑of‑life journeys.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and implement Volunteer Training Program.
  • Recruit and train volunteers.
  • Develop and maintain volunteer retention programs.
  • Assure compliance with all regulatory issues related to volunteers.
  • Develop programs that maximize the use of volunteers in both clinical and administrative services.
  • Assume other duties as developed by the Director of Operations.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training and development of all volunteer programs as needed.
Qualifications
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and speak before groups with sensitivity and compassion.
  • Significant group organizational experience.
  • Volunteer experience desired, particularly in recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.
  • Knowledge of hospice.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order.
  • Demonstrates excellent observation, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.
