Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team.
Pay
: $12.95 to $15.95 per hour. Commission structure pays you for every transaction processed. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.10 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive, productive environment. Partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. This role sets a customer-centric tone.
Alongside the Store Manager, this position analyzes store financial statements to meet financial goals. You will commit to the asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. Employees work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission and a bonus based on store performance. The actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities of an Assistant Store ManagerThis is a representative list of duties and is not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control and secure customer loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and self-development training as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willingness and ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
