Our Engineering Department is looking for a Licensed Master Electrician for BEC energy services and solar projects. This includes reviewing solarapplications and designs before and after approval, including design drawings and on-site approvals. The Master Electrician also performs electrical work on low-voltage services, completes related paperwork within
BEC territory and outside the territory and provides electrical material lists for low-voltage electrical work.
The Master Electrician is also responsible for reviewing all solar installations, RMA work and inspections for approval on to the BEC grid. In addition, the Master Electrician installs, configures, and trains other coops on Apolloware for both residential and commercial.
Job Duties Electrical Services
- Provide electrician's license for BEC for energy services and solar
- Review solar applications and designs before and after approval, including design drawings and on-site approval
- Review all solar installations and repairs
- Install and sets up Apolloware software
- Perform electrical work on low-voltage services
- Complete related paperwork within BEC territory and outside territory
- Provide electrical material lists to order for low-voltage electrical work
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems codes and regulations
- Working knowledge and ability to use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, install, replace, and test 1000 volt and below electrical circuits, equipment and appliances
- Working knowledge of commercial electrical blueprints and ability to apply NEC through the full range of commercial and industrial maintenance and construction work
- Knowledge of installing lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers, and transformers
- Knowledge and ability to isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment
- Ability to work safely, follow safety protocols and guidelines
- Ability to lead and train staff, contractors and members
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Master Electrician License
- 5 to 10 Years of experience required
- Experience in designing and installing electrical systems
- Experience in reviewing and approving solar applications and designs
- Experience in installing and setting up Apolloware software
- CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within of date of hire Valid Texas Driver’s License and Related Insurance
- Must pass background and drug screening and physical
The working conditions for this position may include exposure to hot and cold temperatures, as well as working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. The job may involve working in environments with high levels of noise, vibration, and glare. The position may require working at heights, on slippery surfaces, and in congested areas with sharp edges. The job may require working under pressure and meeting deadlines, with a fast‑paced work environment, handling multiple tasks at once, and performing complex and varied tasks, as well as simple and repetitive ones.
Attention to detail is necessary and the job may require the ability to direct, control, and plan work, follow instructions, handle confrontation situations, and work overtime. The job may involve reading, working alone, working in a group, and traveling. Tobacco free environment.
The physical demands for this position include the ability to stand, sit, and drive for prolonged periods. The job also requires the ability to bend forward and twist, as well as reach above and below shoulder level and at chest‑to‑shoulder level. The job also requires elbow and wrist flexion and extension, as well as wrist rotation. Neck forward bending and flexion may also be necessary.
Twisting, turning, and tilting movements may be required in the course of the job. Other occasional physical demands include crouching, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs and other surfaces, and using foot pedals. Sensory demands may include hearing, speech, color vision, near vision, far vision, spatial perception, tactile and smell.
