Welcome to The Amicus School.

We are a unique therapeutic community. We provide a safe, nurturing and transformative learning environment for vulnerable children aged 4–16, using deep-rooted psychoanalytic and group‑relations models to guide everything we do. We work with small class groupings organised by stage, not age and have 33 children in our school.

What you’ll do:

As a Teaching Assistant
, you’ll play a vital role in:

  • Supporting high‑quality therapeutic education tailored to individual needs
  • Creating a warm, nurturing and emotionally attuned environment
  • Designing engaging, age‑appropriate learning experiences
  • Helping our students grow emotionally, socially, and academically
  • Becoming an integral part of a professional team that changes lives

Hours:

8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, term‑time only (plus In‑Service Training days).
