Job Overview
Area relief officer covering DWP sites along the coast with a minimum weekly hours of 8.5 to 42.5. Protect customers' property, people and assets by providing security services following the Assignment Instructions (AI) and any subsequent changes.
- Deliver results that meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators/Service Level Agreements.
- Undertake additional training for continuous self-development.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and laws as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Complete all tasks defined within Assignment Instructions.
- Review and suggest improvements to Assignment Instructions.
- Wear required licences (front-line, door supervision or CCTV PSS SIA) at all times.
- Comply with safety requirements and legal obligations.
- Follow instructions and procedures without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work systematically and methodically.
- Complete all required competency training.
- Undertake additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key objectives and develop expertise.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
- Identify and report health & safety hazards immediately.
- Stay alert to threats or changes in the environment and take appropriate action.
- Involve others if a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and with challenging customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries after incidents for the Incident Report process.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
- Ensure check calls are carried out at designated times as per Assignment Instructions.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
- Previous security experience.
- SIA Licence / DS licence.
- SC Clearance desirable.
- Own vehicle with business insurance and full driving licence.
