Drafter Packaging

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve packaging designs based on product requirements, functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturing processes.
• Create and revise technical drawings, dielines, and packaging layouts using design software.
• Evaluate packaging designs through fitting tests, assembly tests, and production trials, then analyze the results to implement design improvements.
• Perform dimensional measurements, ensure packaging component compatibility, and prepare development reports.
• Prepare and maintain packaging documentation, including specification sheets, technical drawings, and development reports.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding sample development, design revisions, color matching, and packaging improvements.
• Review packaging artwork and evaluate color accuracy, design quality, and printed packaging against company standards.
• Support Packaging Development activities for New Product Development (NPD) projects and continuous improvement of existing products.

• Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Product Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in Packaging Development, Packaging Design, Packaging Drafting, or Technical Drawing.
• Proficient in creating and interpreting technical drawings and packaging dielines.
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or equivalent.
• Experience with 3D design software such as ArtiosCAD, AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar is an advantage.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, including paper boxes, corrugated boxes, labels, and packaging accessories.
• Understanding of printing processes, color matching, and packaging quality standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and able to collaborate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
• Willing to conduct packaging trials and development activities in the production area.
