Senior Logistics & Customs Specialist - PT ALFA
We are seeking a highly experienced logistics professional with deep knowledge of customs regulations, tariff codes (HS), import/export documentation
, and strong negotiation skills with freight forwarders and carriers
. The ideal candidate will manage the full logistics lifecycle to ensure timely, compliant movement of materials and products.
Lead import/export logistics operations, ensuring compliance with Indonesian customs laws and international trade regulations.
Classify products correctly under customs tariff codes (HS codes) and engage with customs brokers to optimize duty costs.
Prepare and review all customs documentation (SIR, PIB, PEB, SPB, manifest, invoice/packing list, bill of lading/air waybill).
Negotiate freight rates, service levels, and contracts with forwarding companies and carriers (sea/air/land).
Monitor shipment status, track delivery timelines, and troubleshoot delays or compliance issues.
Collaborate with procurement, production, warehouse, and sales to forecast logistics needs and streamline planning.
Maintain accurate logistics records, KPIs (lead times, costs), and performance reports.
Manage relationships with customs officials, ports, bonded warehouses, and logistics partners.
Ensure customs audits readiness and implement corrective actions following inspections.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
5+ years of logistics experience
, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.
Expert knowledge of Indonesian customs procedures and HS code classification
.
Proven negotiation skills with freight forwarders and logistics service providers.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience with ERP/TMS systems and MS Office (Excel, Word).
Certifications such as CIFFA, CILT, or equivalent trade compliance credentials
.
Experience working with global shipments and bonded logistics environments.
