The Senior Sourcing Manager – Supplier Quality Engineering at GE Aerospace will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of components and materials sourced from suppliers. In this role, you will lead supplier quality initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet GE Aerospace’s high standards for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering supplier partnerships that align with GE Aerospace’s mission to define flight for today, tomorrow, and the future.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supplier quality strategies to ensure compliance with GE Aerospace standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead supplier audits, assessments, and performance reviews to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Apply lean principles and problem‐solving methodologies to improve supplier processes and product quality.
  • Partner with suppliers to implement process improvements and reduce variability in manufacturing.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance supplier capabilities and ensure alignment with GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK operating model.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to ensure supplier quality aligns with product requirements.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring supplier readiness and capability.
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to address technical challenges and ensure timely delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure uninterrupted production and delivery.
  • Develop and execute supplier recovery plans when necessary.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement strategies to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and guide supplier quality engineers to build a high‑performing team.
  • Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the supplier network.
  • Represent GE Aerospace with integrity and professionalism in all supplier interactions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a supplier quality engineer.

Additional Information

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship status.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leading supplier quality improvement initiatives and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and tools (e.g., AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to build strong supplier partnerships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent is a plus.
