First Article Dimensional Inspector

Job Summary

Seeking a detail oriented First Article Dimensional Inspector with a desire for career growth to join our quality team. Initial duties will focus on verification of initial run of manufactured parts to ensure conformance of precision industrial hardware products to engineering and quality requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• First Article Inspection:
  Perform complete layout and dimensional verification on first-run components and raw materials.
• Blueprint & GD&T Analysis:
  Interpretation of complex engineering drawings and Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T) specifications.
• Inspection Methods:
  Assist in the development and establishment of inspection methods for both first article and production inspection.
• Documentation:
  Generate detailed First Article inspection reports.
• Customer Interface:
  Work directly with customer representatives during product source inspection reviews to present measurement data and verify requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 1 year of experience in dimensional inspection within a high-precision manufacturing environment.
• GD&T:
  Practical understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T) principles.
• Precision Instruments:
  Demonstrated proficiency with standard physical measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and pin gauges.
• Blueprint Reading:
  Capability to read, interpret, and cross-reference intricate technical blueprints.
• Communication:
  Ability to clearly communicate in English electronically or in person with company and customers.

Preferred But Not Necessary

• Metrology:
  Familiarity or experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
• Certifications:
  
  Any Inspection Third Party Training Certificates
