Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant
Compensation: $75,000–$90,000 base salary + performance-based incentives + benefits
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities across a portfolio of service-based businesses.
This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing reconciliations, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring clients have reliable, up-to-date financial information to support their business operations.
The successful candidate will take ownership of core bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, maintaining accounts payable and receivable records, investigating discrepancies, and preparing financial reports. They will also work closely with the wider team to ensure accounting processes run efficiently and client requirements are consistently met.
This is a varied, hands-on position that requires strong technical bookkeeping skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously. The role will involve working with financial systems, identifying and resolving accounting issues, maintaining organised records, and ensuring all financial information is accurate and up to date.
As the business continues to grow, there will be opportunities to contribute to improving internal processes, streamlining bookkeeping workflows, and supporting the delivery of a high-quality service across the client portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. They will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and a client-focused mindset, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly and work effectively with both clients and internal stakeholders.
