About The Position

We’re seeking an accomplished and strategic Head of Sales to join Gather and lead our next phase of growth. In this role, you’ll oversee a high‑performing sales team focused on expanding Gather’s market presence and driving new business within the funeral profession. You’ll develop scalable sales strategies, manage performance, and partner closely with leadership to execute initiatives that accelerate revenue and strengthen customer relationships.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives and Account Executives to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Develop, document, and oversee sales policies, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency, accountability, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain an active personal sales pipeline and close deals to contribute directly to company revenue.
  • Create and execute scalable sales strategies that drive market growth and align with company goals.
  • Collaborate with Gather’s marketing team to refine messaging, campaigns, and lead‑generation tactics.
  • Collaborate with Gather’s customer success team to ensure smooth client onboarding and retention.
  • Analyze team performance metrics, report on sales trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Work cross‑functionally to co‑plan and coordinate conventions, trade shows, and other industry events — including booth planning, travel logistics, and lead follow‑up strategies.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of new sales team members.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, representing Gather’s mission and values at every opportunity.
About You

You are a driven, goal‑oriented professional with a passion for building and scaling successful sales teams. You understand the dynamics of SaaS sales and know how to balance hands‑on deal management with high‑level strategy. You’re energized by ambitious goals, building relationships, and helping clients discover solutions that truly make a difference. The right candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong ability to close new customer deals and achieve sales quota goals.
  • Strong ability to lead and motivate sales teams and develop sales strategies.
  • Strong curiosity for how AI and other technologies can help connect with more prospects.
  • Ability to plan, multitask, and manage time effectively, and take ownership of your assignments.
  • A knack for following detailed instructions and providing quality assurance before closing deals.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.
