Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Statistics, or related field. 2+ years of experience in demand planning or supply chain (food/CPG preferred). Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred). Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have Skills & ExperienceAPICS CPIM or CSCP certification. Experience with SAP IBP or advanced planning tools. Familiarity with statistical forecasting methods and demand sensing.
Job DescriptionA client of Insight Global is seeking a Demand Planner to manage the overall demand signal for a specified business unit. This role ensures accurate forecasting, supports integrated business planning, and drives continuous improvement in demand planning processes. You will collaborate cross functionally with teams across the business to deliver a consensus forecast and maintain planning accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Forecast Management: Create and maintain all stages of the demand plan—from inception to discontinuity. Analyze historical sales data, promotional plans, and market trends to develop accurate forecasts. Maintain demand planning system parameters and cleanse historical data.
- Integrated Business Planning: Participate in Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes. Implement SAP IBP and leverage best-in-class forecasting strategies. Develop and maintain an 18-month rolling consensus forecast.
- Performance Monitoring: Track forecast accuracy and bias; report key changes and drivers to leadership. Prepare dashboards and KPIs for demand planning performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales and Marketing to incorporate commercial insights into forecasts. Align demand plans with supply capabilities and inventory targets.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve forecast accuracy and system capabilities. Support new product introductions and product lifecycle planning.
