Job Overview
We are seeking a Youth Care Provider to work at Hays House, a 24‑hour shelter and care facility located in the Treasure Valley. The role focuses on providing direct supervision, daily living support, and individualized learning plans for youth in our care.

What is Hays House?- Hays House is a critical part of the Idaho Youth Ranch family of programs. It is the only 24‑hour shelter for homeless and runaway youth in the Treasure Valley and the State’s only Safe Place.
- In addition to emergency shelter services, we offer respite care to give primary caregivers much‑needed relief and improve family stability; drop‑in services to provide a safe spot to get a warm shower, a hot meal, and more; and a stable, supportive environment to help youth find their way forward.

Every position at the Idaho Youth Ranch contributes to the success of our mission. As a Youth Care Provider at Hays House, you will help nurture hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho’s youth by providing direct supervision of daily living and individualized learning plans.
Responsibilities- Provide care and supervision to youth residents.
- Help with youth orientation.
- Guide and support youth in daily activities such as morning routines, chores, homework, meal times, group activities, and evening routines.
- Implement treatment strategies and provide a consistent, safe, and supportive environment to help youth manage behavioral and emotional responses.
- Build positive relationships with youth by providing a consistent, supportive presence and engaging them with respect, care, and belief in their potential.
- Carry out duties and tasks in accordance with program standards and procedures (SAPs).
- Part‑time overnight and full‑time overnight positions available.
- Part‑time: 2 shifts per week (10 pm–8 am). Full‑time: 4 shifts per week (10 pm–8 am).
- Relief positions available on‑call after training.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Idaho driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire.
As a 501(c)(3) Non‑Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program. The PLSF offers student loan forgiveness on qualifying loans under specific conditions. Speak with your loan provider for more information.
This role is located in Idaho and candidates must be within a reasonable distance of one of the Idaho Youth Ranch locations.
