About Hays HouseHays House is the only 24‑hour shelter for homeless and runaway youth in the Treasure Valley and Idaho’s only Safe Place®. In addition to emergency shelter services, we also offer respite care, drop‑in services, and a safe, supportive environment to help youth find their way forward.

Job ImpactAs a Youth Care Provider at the Hays House residential facility, you help nurture hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho’s youth by supervising daily living and implementing individualized learning plans.
Responsibilities- Provide care and supervision to youth residents
- Help with youth orientation
- Guide and support youth in daily activities (morning routines, chores, homework, meal times, group activities, evening routines)
- Implement treatment strategies
- Provide a safe, supportive environment to help youth manage behavioral and emotional responses
- Build positive relationships with youth, demonstrating respect, care, and belief in their potential
- Carry out duties in accordance with program standards and procedures (SAPs)
Work 2–10 hour shifts from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., and likely include at least one weekend night.
Qualifications- Must be 21 years of age
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Idaho driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire
As a 501(c)(3) Non‑Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
LocationThe role is located in Idaho; candidates must be within a reasonable distance of one of the Idaho Youth Ranch locations.
