Rink Attendant

Join the Idaho Ice World team in a part-time role as a Rink Attendant
. This role keeps you active and engaged with the community! Working primarily weeknights and weekends, this position provides friendly customer service at the skate rental counter, assists guests with facility and program questions, and helps maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment. This position works up to 19 hours per week and is open to applicants age 16 and older.

• Assists customers at the skate rental counter.
• Determines the correct size of rentals and checks out customers.
• Performs other duties about customer service, answering questions related to programs and/or operations, and related duties as assigned.
• Utilizes computers and related software such as word processing and risk management.

• Participate in janitorial duties such as keeping all areas of the facility neat, clean, and safe at all times.
• These duties include sweeping and mopping the rink restrooms, locker rooms, shower areas, lobby, meeting rooms, bleachers, removing trash, cleaning rink glass, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned. Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time.

Knowledge of:

• customer service techniques; cash handling procedures; basic addition and subtraction.

Ability to:

• interact with the general public; provide a high level of customer service; display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of City employees, the general public and other organizations; communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; complete assignments in a timely fashion; understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations;
  
  maintain prompt and regular attendance; and perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• 6 months working in a customer service role.

• City of Boise background check processes which includes a criminal history check and reference checks in accordance with the City of Boise Hiring Process Regulation
