The FMRI Boise program is the core family medicine program at Full Circle Health, and is an ACGME‑accredited, 12‑12‑12 residency celebrating its 50th year of existence in 2025. We focus on training broad spectrum family physicians who will serve rural and underserved populations of Idaho and beyond, and who will be well trained to help lead and advocate for their communities.
We are one of the original Teaching Health Centers;
Boise residents train at four Full Circle Health clinics across the Treasure Valley. We run 24/7 services at Saint Alphonsus (inpatient medicine) and St. Luke’s (OB and pediatrics) staffed by our residents and faculty. Our clinics have multiple specialty offerings within family medicine, a strong procedural focus, and a large catchment area focused on underserved and vulnerable populations as a Federally Qualified Health Center.
Affiliated with the University of Washington School of Medicine and the WWAMI system, an appointment to our program comes with an academic appointment at the University of Washington. We train medical students from the University of Washington, the University of Utah, and the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine via third and fourth year clerkships.
