Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a full time Rheumatologist to join a busy multispecialty practice and build a new rheumatology service for a growing and dynamic group of hospital based clinics and providers who are looking to offer this important service in a community largely under represented by rheumatologists. This position requires a proactive approach to practice development for the population of the Treasure Valley and will include time dedicated to program development.
This position will support a Bone Health Clinic alongside our orthopedic APPs and work with our endocrinologist(s) in a more traditional rheumatology setting. This is a typical clinic schedule M-F, includes a minimum of 34 patient contact hours per week. Clinic call only.
Advanced Imaging available 24/7, full service outpatient physical and occupational therapy, High Complexity Lab and pathology support, infusion center, and a research department to support clinical trial participation.
Requirements:- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Completion of a Rheumatology Fellowship accredited by the Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Rheumatology Board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) - or obtain within 3 years.
- Obtain Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC and/or other health system affiliated hospitals as needed.
- Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- This position is split between our Boise based Orthopedic clinic and Endocrine clinic.
