The First Year Math Program (FYM) at Boise State provides support and instruction for foundational mathematics courses up through precalculus. Courses are: MATH 103, 133, 143, 144, and 149. They are closely coordinated to ensure consistency in instruction and student support across sections.

The Mathematics Department offers a full range of college‑level courses, including calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and abstract mathematics. These classes support general education and specialized study for STEM and math majors. Some courses are coordinated; selected instructors will be connected with a course coordinator for support and guidance.

FYM and the Math Department maintain a shared pool of adjuncts who teach primarily in‑person classes. Classes meet during the typical workday with some early‑morning and evening sections available as well. Adjacents may teach up to 11 credits per semester, including a mix of courses across Math and FYM.

• Demonstrates effective teaching and willingness to pursue scholarly activities, particularly with respect to evidence‑based teaching practices.
• Actively supports and encourages an atmosphere focused on student learning and success.
• Applies appropriate policies and regulations and maintains positive working relationships within the university, college, department, and/or FYM.

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics or related field; mathematics education preferred.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Salary: Wage follows current university policy on adjunct rates.
