Job Summary
The Undergraduate Pre‑Licensure program seeks a part‑time adjunct faculty member who is willing to work weekdays and teach clinical sections of nursing skills or health assessment at the school’s on‑campus skills lab and/or at community partners’ clinical settings. This is a pre‑licensure Bachelor’s Degree program.
Responsibilities- Teach students in a designated area of specialization.
- Attend orientation and team faculty meetings.
- Determine grades for course requirements based on the course syllabus.
- Work directly with faculty responsible for the course.
- Demonstrate effective teaching.
- Pursue scholarly activities (e.g., current enrollment in a Master of Nursing Education program).
- Participate in program and school activities.
- Apply appropriate policies and regulations within the university, college, and school.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- Participate in activities promoting personal and professional growth.
- Maintain clinical expertise for teaching nursing.
- Serve as a professional role model for students.
- Apply appropriate evidence‑based teaching methods.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing;
Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred or higher. - Registered Nurse license in Idaho by the start date of employment.
- Demonstrated competence in a specific clinical practice area, preferably with experience in medical/surgical settings.
- Teaching experience preferred.
Wage is based upon educational degree and number of credits taught.
