The School of Social Work in the College of Health Sciences at Boise State University invites applications for a full‑time Clinical Assistant Professor. The primary focus is teaching (80 %) with a typical load of four courses in fall and spring and one or two in summer. Most instruction will be in the MSW Online program, with additional opportunities to teach in on‑campus MSW or BSW programs if needed.
The role also includes professional advising (10 %) and service on school committees (10 %). Clinical faculty must be licensed professionals, supervising clinical experiences, and engaging in community service. Participation in research or scholarship is welcome but not required.
- Teach MSW Online courses (four courses per year, plus summer courses if needed).
- Provide professional advising to online students.
- Serve on school committees (faculty, curriculum, admissions, accreditation, student development).
- Develop and improve curriculum as part of ongoing teaching initiatives.
- Supervise clinical experiences and supervise students in educational design.
- Engage in professional community service and maintain practice.
- MSW from a CSWE‑accredited program.
- Minimum 5 years post‑MSW practice experience, with at least 2 years in direct practice.
- Social Work license or license‑eligible.
- Online teaching experience.
- Doctoral degree in social work or related field.
- Clinical licensure.
Salary ranges from $70,000 to $75,000 per year.
